Embark on a thrilling Kedarkantha Trek, a 5-day winter adventure through the breathtaking landscapes of Uttarakhand. This trek offers panoramic views of snow-clad peaks, dense pine forests, and serene campsites under the stars. Ideal for beginners and experienced trekkers, it reaches a maximum altitude of 12,500 ft and covers approximately 20 km.
Your contract is with Disney Yatra Tours and Travels. A contract exists between us when we have confirmed you on our tour of your choice and we have received your signed booking form and deposits. All the relevant sections must be correctly and fully completed. We can only accept a booking form signed as this confirms that you and other people on the tour accept our booking terms and conditions and are entering into the contract.
Upon completion of the signed booking form, a deposit of 50% of the tour cost per person must be paid to the company.
For all the services contracted, a 50% advance payment should be made to hold the booking on a confirmed basis, and the balance amount can be paid 7 days before your departure.
Management personnel hold the right to decide upon the advance payment amount based on the nature of the service and the time left for its commencement. In some cases, such as special train journeys or hotel bookings during peak seasons (e.g., X-Mas, New Year), full payment is required in advance.
All cancellations must be made in writing at least a month prior to the client’s arrival. Cancellation charges are as follows:
• Once booking is done: 25% of the total package cost.
• 45 days prior to arrival: 50% of the tour/service cost.
• 15 days prior to arrival: 75% of the tour/service cost.
• 07 days prior to arrival: 100% of the tour/service cost.
Hotel reservations require reconfirmation by the agent or customer at least one week prior to check-in. Failing this, hotels reserve the right to levy at least one-night retention, payable by the customer.
Refunds will only be made once received from hotels or other service providers. Refunds for unused services or shortened tours due to genuine reasons will be processed within 10 days of returning to the client’s home country.
The company does not own or control hotels, coaches, or other facilities mentioned in the tour. As an operator of the package, we cannot be held liable:
• Where there is no fault on the part of the company, supplier, or agents.
• Where failures in performance are attributable to the customer.
• Where failures are due to third parties not connected to the service and are unforeseeable or unavoidable.
• Where failures arise from unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond your control.
• Where failures result from events that even with due care could not have been foreseen.
Passengers are advised to inform their tour manager of any complaints during the tour. If unresolved, the complaint must be notified in writing within 28 days of the tour’s conclusion. Disputes will be governed by jurisdiction in India.
To travel to India, a 6-month valid passport and visa are required (except for citizens of Nepal and Bhutan). Passport and visa processing are not included in the tour cost.
Standard hotel check-in/check-out time is 12:00 PM (IST). Early check-in or late check-out costs are not included in the tour cost and are subject to hotel policy, time of year, and availability.
Vehicle costs do not include extra usage beyond the itinerary unless specifically mentioned.
Tours will proceed as per the finalized itinerary. However, in case of events or circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to make changes for the safety and well-being of passengers.
The price of your travel arrangement is subject to surcharges in case of sudden hikes in fuel prices, scheduled airfare, or government taxes. We will absorb up to 2% of such costs, and amounts exceeding this will be surcharged.
Disney Yatra Tours and Travels accept liability for arrangements wholly within our control and for the negligence of our employees. However, we cannot accept liability for:
• Death, personal injury, sickness, accidents, loss, delay, or increased expenses caused by factors beyond our control.
• Acts, omissions, or defaults of independent contractors providing services.
• Events such as natural disasters, strikes, wars, riots, terrorist activities, extreme weather, or transport issues beyond our control.
• Your contract is with Disney Yatra Tours and Travels. A contract exists between us when we have confirmed you for your tour of choice and received your signed booking form and deposits. All the relevant sections must be correctly and fully completed. We can only accept a booking form signed, confirming that you and others on the tour accept our booking terms and conditions and are entering into the contract.
• Deposit: Upon completion of the signed booking form, a deposit of 50% of the tour cost per person must be paid to the company.
• Payments: For all contracted services, a 50% advance payment is required to hold the booking on a confirmed basis, with the balance paid 7 days before your departure. Management personnel hold the right to decide the amount for advance payment based on the nature of the service and the time left before the service commences. For special cases such as Train Journeys, hotels, or resorts during peak seasons (X-Mas, New Year), full payment may be required in advance.
• All cancellations must be made in writing to us at least a month prior to the arrival date of the client. We levy the following cancellation charges:

• All hotel reservations require reconfirmation by the agent/customer at least one week prior to check-in. Failing this, hotels may levy at least a one-night retention charge, payable by the customer. Disney Yatra Tours and Travels will not take responsibility for refunds until payment has been received from the hotel. If payment is made via Credit Card, the contract is irrevocable. Complaints regarding services should be communicated to Disney Yatra Tours and Travels during the tour. Refunds, if any, will be made in Indian Rupees only and processed before departure at the end of the tour as per the conversion rate at the time of refund.
• In case of legal disputes, jurisdiction will be in Jaipur City, India. Refunds for unused services or shortened tours due to genuine reasons will be executed within 10 days after your return to your home country.
• The company does not own or control hotels, coaches, or other facilities mentioned in the tour. As an operator of the package tour, we cannot be held liable for:
• Where there has been no fault on the part of the company, supplier, or agents.
• Where the failures in performance of the contract are attributable to the customer.
• Where the failures are attributable to a third party not connected with the provision of the holiday and are unforeseeable or unavoidable.
• Where the failures are due to unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond your control.
• Where the failures are due to an event which you or your supplier, even with all due care, could not foresee or foretell.
• We do take all reasonable steps in ensuring that the organization maintains standards and provides a service that is acceptable to the passengers.
• The information within this website has been compiled with all reasonable care and is correct to the best knowledge of the company and is published in good faith.
• We do our best to give passengers an enjoyable and trouble-free vacation. However, if you have any complaints, please inform your tour manager immediately who will attempt to resolve the matter on the spot. If the situation is not resolved to your satisfaction, you must notify the company in writing within 28 days of the tour’s conclusion. Failure to do so may affect the investigation and outcome of the complaint. Disputes between clients and Disney Yatra Tours and Travels shall be governed by the jurisdiction in India.
• To travel to India from overseas countries (except for Nepal & Bhutan citizens), a valid passport with 6 months’ validity and a visa are required. The processing of the passport and visa is not included in the tour cost.
• Standard check-in/check-out times in most hotels are 1200 hrs (IST). Therefore, the cost of early check-in or late check-out is not included in the tour cost. Requests for early check-in or late check-out will be made but are not guaranteed and depend on the hotel policy and room availability.
• The cost of the vehicle (car/coaches with driver) does not include extra usage beyond transfers or sightseeing, unless mentioned in the itinerary.
• Once the tour commences, it will proceed according to the finalized itinerary. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, we reserve the right to amend any part of the itinerary to ensure the safety and well-being of our esteemed passengers.
• The price of your travel arrangement is subject to surcharges if there is a sudden hike in fuel prices, airfare, or taxes levied by the government. We will absorb up to 2%, and any excess amount will be surcharged.
• Disney Yatra Tours and Travels accepts liability for those arrangements within our control and takes responsibility for negligence by our employees. However, we are not liable for:
• Any death, personal injury, sickness, accidents, loss, delay, discomfort, increased expenses, consequential loss, damage, or theft, however caused.
• Acts, omissions, or defaults of independent contractors, or any persons engaged in providing accommodation, transportation, or services.
• Events beyond our control such as natural disasters, industrial disputes, war, riots, civil strife, terrorist activities, technical issues, extreme weather, airport/seaport closures, or any other unforeseeable circumstances.
Start: Early morning pickup at 6:00 AM from Dehradun. Route: A scenic 220 km drive through National Highway 123. The drive offers stunning views of lush green valleys, rivers, and small Himalayan hamlets. Destination: Kotgaon, a serene village near Sankri. Activities: Check in to a pre-booked hotel or guest house. Relax and explore the quaint Kotgaon/Sankri village in the evening. Stroll through local shops and dhabas. Overnight: Stay in Kotgaon/Sankri.
Distance: 5 km trek | Altitude: ~9,100 ft. Start your trek after breakfast. The trail begins with a gradual ascent through dense forests of pine, oak, and maple. Cross wooden bridges and streams amidst a carpet of brown leaves. Spot wildlife like boars, martens, and hares along the way. Reach Juda-Ka-Talab, a serene lake surrounded by thick forests. This spot is ideal for photography and relaxation. Continue to Khujey Campsite, nestled in nature's lap. Overnight: Stay in tents under the starry sky.
Distance: 4 km trek | Altitude: 11,250 ft. Start your trek after breakfast. Post breakfast, begin your trek to Kedarkantha Base Camp. Pass through open meadows dotted with shepherd huts. Witness stunning views of snow-clad peaks like Bandarpoonch, Swargarohini, Kala Nag, and Ranglana. Reach Kedarkantha Base Camp, known for its clear skies and mesmerizing views of the Milky Way at night. Overnight: Stay in tents. Ensure you carry adequate woolens as temperatures drop significantly.
Distance: 8 km trek | Altitude: 12,500 ft. Start early to witness the sunrise from Kedarkantha meadows, a divine sight. The trail to the summit passes through oak forests and becomes steeper near the top. The summit rewards trekkers with 360-degree views of the Himalayas and a small temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, Parvati, and Ganesh. After enjoying the summit, descend to Base Camp for lunch and continue your descent to Sankri/Kotgaon. Relax and unwind with an optional campfire in the evening. Overnight: Stay in eco-tents.
Wake up to the enchanting morning views amidst pine forests. After breakfast, begin the descent to the base. Freshen up at Kotgaon, enjoy a hot lunch, and start the journey back to Dehradun. Estimated Arrival in Dehradun: 8:00–9:00 PM. Option to stay in Dehradun for further exploration.
